What is the Really Really Free Market?

Really Really Free Market (RRFM) is a popup community gathering for the purpose of sharing. It's like a flea market where there are no price tags and everything is free!We go by the motto, "Bring what you can. Take what you need."
Everyone is welcome to take what they want. No sales, no trades, and no requirement to bring anything.
Anyone with items or activities to share is welcome to set up a table or blanket with what they'd like to give. All community members are encouraged to come by and take home whatever they'd like, totally free.Through sharing our household abundance we:
-reduce waste
-declutter unused items
-save money
-share the wealth
-build community
-have fun!

Who organizes the RRFM?
Really Really Free Markets are popup events that happen in over 50 towns across the world and can be started by anyone. There is no formal group in charge. We are just community members meeting up at the same time and place to share.
Each market is made by all who show up and contribute. The goods and activities at the market change month-to-month based on whatever the community brings. What is the story of the Scappoose RRFM?
The Scappoose RRFM was started at the end of 2024 by a few strangers who met in a Buy Nothing group. We started meeting regularly to lay out our freebies and welcome people to come take them. After a full summer of monthly meetups, we are now partnering with the Scappoose Public Library for indoor markets during the winter.
Can I bring things to give away?
Yes! As long as they fit our community guidelines you are totally welcome to bring items to share. Please remember that this is like a flea market, not a drop off event, so you are responsible for taking home anything of yours that is not claimed at the end.
Can you do a different day, time, place...?
This is the time and day that works for our small group of volunteer coordinators, but we'd love to support others starting more RRFMs! If a different day, time, or place would work better for you, please feel empowered to start another RRFM and let us know how we can help.
